Amby bed and prayers

We recently purchased an Amby bed off Craigslist to help with our beautiful, but fussy, baby girl. I had read wonderful reviews and was willing to give anything a try! It is a hammock on a spring that gently bounces when she moves and rocks her back to sleep. She has been an entirely different baby since we have been using it (although I did say some pretty heavy prayers that I think are largely responsible!). I'm not sure whether she was colicky or what- our doctor termed her a "high-maintenance" baby! I think we are probably just getting a glimpse of the maintenance she will require! We love having Miss Claudia in our family. It has only been two months but it is hard to imagine life without her. Sometimes I think back to the times before we had our kids and realize how different our lives were then and it makes me treasure them even more. They bring such joy to our lives.

When Claudia was born we noticed that she was "tongue-tied". She had a "frenulectomy" a couple weeks ago to clip the skin that attaches the tongue underneath. It is funny to watch her now because she moves her tongue all around now that she can move it.

We love Claudia's smiles! She is getting to the point that we can elicit a smile most of the time, as long as she is not in a really fussy mood. Wade is the best at getting smiles. She is definitely a Daddy's girl!
This is how Claudia and I spent our entire afternoon a couple Sunday's ago. We rented Kung Fu Panda, which I really wanted to watch, but I just could not stay awake for it, and neither could she! The movie is great though!

Dawson looks like such a little man. This picture was taken the day that Wade left to go on a business trip to NC for a week. Dawson was a huge help around the house and with Claudia. He also got into watching football that week. We love ESPN Classics at our house because there is almost always a football game on. He wanted to watch football in the few minutes left before getting on the bus this morning. Who says there is no difference between men and women??
