We're back!

We had a great trip to Colorado! We flew to Denver then drove 5 hours to Montrose, CO to see family and attend my cousin Wade's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding with the mountain setting in the background. The boys enjoyed the plane ride and did great traveling. It might have gone even better if we would have found the DVD player in our rental vehicle before we made it to Montrose!! The highlight of the boys' trip was shooting some prairie dogs and seeing elk and deer. They had a great time playing with cousins Nathan, Andrew, Bethany and Jason.

I had a really hard time taking pictures of these constantly moving objects! They had a blast playing basketball. Cousins Andrew, Nathan, and Dawson before the wedding
My uncle Robert in the middle and cousin Wade on the right Grandma and Grandpa getting ready to be seated

Ah, this was the REAL fun! Thanks Bruce for bringing your gun!
This was the "fat" prairie dog!

My aunt also has a home in Telluride that we visited. We took a ride in the gondolas that overlooked the town. It was beautiful!
This herd of elk was right outside of Telluride. We saw more along Ralph Lauren's ranch on the way back to Montrose. There were so many!
We stopped in Vail on our way back to Denver. Jackson wanted to know what he could order off "his list". With our menus for lunch they gave us a beer list. He claimed it as his own and pretended to order off of it. Thankfully, he cannot read! On the gondolas in Vail

Dawson enjoyed the shuttle trams at the airport

We stopped at my mom's bridal shop on the way home. Jackson needed to de-stress!

Better late than never!

We had a great time last time that we visited Sioux Falls. It has taken me a while to get these posted. The boys had a fun time at Gigglebees with Uncle Adam, even if the machines did take their tokens! We also went to Thunder Road to ride go-karts. Thanks Uncle Aron for taking Jackson on the go-kart!
Dawson begged to do the "trampoline thing" so we finally gave in. You can't tell in these pictures but he hated it! He would not jump and just wanted off. We figured out that they really just wanted to jump on the trampoline, without the harness!
Here is Wade and Jackson at our local fireworks display.
We have a family friend that took Dawson on a motorcycle ride around the block. Dawson loved it and Jackson really wanted to go until he realized that mom and dad were not going too! Unfortunately, the bike is now in a pile somewhere, but, thank the Lord, Kevin is recovering well!

Here is our Baby Girl!

Here are several pictures of our baby girl! She was quite active and not the most cooperative- surprise, surprise! Most of the face shots were right at the beginning. After that, we mostly got hands and feet covering the face. She has Dawson's nose. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were able to join via internet from Sioux Falls and watch. They thought her mouth resembled Jackson's. She is most definitely a girl! These are at 29 weeks. All appears to be healthy which we are very blessed.

This is a picture of her face with her toes up by her nose. She kept spreading her toes apart and wiggling them!
She must have been getting frustrated with us- she had her brows wrinkled up!This is a picture of her forehead on the left with her hand and both feet covering her face. I included this just to show you how difficult she was. She is quite the contortionist!

Talking already!

I can't believe how much the above picture looks like her brothers.

"Enough already! I need my privacy!"

Here is a comparison picture. This is Dawson above when he was a day old.

Update

Sorry for not updating sooner- there really hasn't been much to update about! We still think the baby is a girl but will confirm that (hopefully!) tomorrow during a 3-D ultrasound. I will try to post pics after. The boys are very excited about the baby; she gets a kiss and hug first thing every morning from Jackson. Dawson doesn't "interact" as much but still seems excited. Everything is going good at this point, the biggest problem has been weight gain (or lack of). So far I have only gained 3 pounds from where I started. (I am dodging all of the things being thrown at me through the computer right now!!!) I have been eating lots per Dr. orders and hope that it all doesn't hit once the baby is born!

Dawson is finished with summer school and is enjoying the summer. He is constantly wanting a friend over to play- his brother is not the entertainment he is looking for most of the time. We have been at the pool quite a bit this summer, but not as much as we have in the past. Our local pool is torn up and a new one is being built so we have to drive further to swim now.

Jackson lives for baseball this summer. Our front yard transforms into a baseball field when Jackson is out to play. He is no longer satisfied hitting the ball off of the tee. He wants to be the batter and his dad be the "glover" and pitch to him. He is pretty impressive for a three year old. I think we need to start a "window replacement fund" because I predict a ball through the window in the next few years!!

Here is a belly shot that Jackson took!
Here is a picture of the boys with my brother, Camden, and his girlfriend, Mallory. They entertained the boys by building a gingerbread house during our garage sale on Saturday. The gingerbread kit was on the garage sale but Dawson decided that it did not have to be Christmas to build one and took it off the sale table. They had a fun time!
